This class is for beginners and students who have some experience in hosting. Each week this fun class will be covering numerous different topics from single host copy, co-hosting, red carpets, hosting reels, branding, marketing yourself and much much more taught by Casting Director and Media Coach, Maureen Browne. Maureen actively casts for hosts and experts for network TV shows (ABC, CBS, E!, Style, GSN) and for the web. She only looks for the best and can help you be your best. She is professional, caring and respectful of all students who come thru her doors. Come and learn in a positive, relaxing and always fun environment. Prerequisite: Students must be accepted into this course � either from being a prior student or via your hosting reel / footage. Please submit your reel to: [email protected] Can you think on your toes? Can you handle a cold read? Do you have the skills that it takes to host a game / competition / clip show? Could you host a live show? This is the class you need to really make the transition from amateur to professional. You�ll work with an IFB (a must have for any live hosting), Teleprompter and more. Do you need some greenscreen / teleprompter footage to add to your reel? If you're an expert, do you need footage to show that you really know your stuff? For hosts, teleprompter is a skill that you should be showing on your reel. You can also shoot pieces for your webisodes, tutorials, etc. You write your own copy so you're really connecting with the material and showcasing your skills and personality. We'll be shooting on an HD camera with professional sound and lighting. You'll arrive "camera ready" and bring a change of outfits if needed. Maureen will be there to coach you on your delivery and make sure you get a nice, clean take. Please note, this fee is for footage only - no editing is included. Shoot your hosting reel on location! We take a small group out on the town (4 people maximum) and shoot in fun locations to make for a quality reel. You come up with your own segments based on the kinds of shows you can see yourself hosting and you write your own copy (or we can help you). You'll get on-the-spot coaching so you're delivering your best. You'll also learn how to produce your pieces and get a real in-field shooting experience. We have a 5-D camera so your footage looks fantastic. At the end of the shoot, you own all the footage so you can take it to your own editor or use our editor.
